I began my journey to becoming a Registered Psychologist in Alberta in Manitoba where I completed my honours undergraduate degree in Psychology. I then pushed and challenged myself to move to Grand Forks North Dakota to attend the University of North Dakota to get my Master's degree in Counselling Psychology. I worked in Minnesota with adults struggling with severe and persistent mental illness. I relocated to Saskatchewan where I began to work with individuals and couples; focusing specifically on anger management, life stressors, mood disorders, trauma and developing community mental health programs.
In 2016, my family and I relocated to Medicine Hat and have established our roots.
Throughout my career I have taking trainings in CBT, TF-CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, FASD, Mood Disorders, Perinatal Mental Health, Stress, Trauma/PTSD. I believe that learning is never done, no matter how many years you've been doing something.
My goal in providing therapy is to help reduce the stigma around mental health and actually getting therapy. Seeing a psychologist should be as normal as taking your car to a mechanic.
